Health Benefits of Tea

The Effects and Uses of Green Tea

Introduction

Recent studies have found that the antioxidants in green tea can prevent cancer, help fight heart disease, and even reduce your risk of developing type two diabetes. For some, this comes as no surprise, since cultures throughout Asia have been consuming green tea for thousands of years for its benefits of promoting good health throughout the body.

Health factors aren’t the only reasons for introducing green tea into your daily lifestyle. Consuming green tea can also add a therapeutic ritual into your everyday life. Even the process of steeping and enjoying green tea can be a relaxing touchstone for those looking to promote a more healthy lifestyle.

You’re So Sweet!

We add some natural sweeteners to our tea blends, using unprocessed green Stevia Leaf or Licorice Root.

Our Stevia leaf is totally natural and from the farm. Most of the stevia you find in the market have been mixed with other chemicals. It is hard to find a pure and clean liquid stevia. Stevia is a very natural sweetener that doesn’t contain any artificial sweeteners like asparatame, etc. In our opinion it is the cleanest and safest to use. I often bake with it!!

I often get asked which one I recommend (in liquid form). The NOW Foods Stevia is the best I have found.

I make an Avocado Chocolate Mousse that is delicious!

2 whole avocados (medium)
1 can organic coconut cream
2 tbsp cacao powder
50 drops stevia (or more to your liking)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Mix with a hand mixer or toss in a high powdered blender, until creamy and smooth. YUM!!!

Our Favorite Cup!

We often get asked where we get our favorite tumblers to go that fit our Extra Long Tea Straws!

The best cup we have come across is the U-Konserve Insulated Coffee Cup, which we usually find the best prices on Amazon.

The best thing about this cup is that it keeps your tea nice and hot, without being hot on the outside. Plus, the silicon top fits our straws perfectly.

Just scoop your favorite tea blend directly into cup, pour in your hot water, insert straw, put on top (pop the straw through the drink hole) and BOOM, you have loose leaf to go. Then just keep filling your cup with hot water throughout the day until you can’t taste your tea anymore. This way you’re getting the most out of your tea, and it’s super convenient!!
